Overview

Leyland Trade Super Leytex Matt paint in Brilliant White has been formulated to be particularly suitable for painting new plaster walls and ceilings. It comes with a permeable film, which allows the bare plaster to breathe and dry out.

Super Leytex is a quick drying, water based, high opacity matt emulsion paint that's also suitable for painting various other interior surfaces as well as new plaster; aged plaster, wall boards, concrete, cement rendering, wall boards, concrete, brick and blockwork. The coverage is good, up to 13m2 per litre, so a 5 litre tin will cover up to 65m2

Preparation

Ensure surface is clean, sound, dry and grease free. Remove all loose and defective paint.

• Fill cracks and imperfections with filler.
• Prime where required with .
• Rub down glossy surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding and do not inhale dust.
• Seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of 1 part water to 9 parts Leyland Super Leytex High Opacity Matt Emulsion.

Application

Always perform a test on a small inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility, and we recommend following the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.

• Stir well before use. Do not thin, unless the surface is absorbent, or when applying by roller or spray when a small quantity of clean water may be added.
• Apply by brush, roller or spray. Apply the paint evenly and do not overspread.
• Apply a second coat, if required, after 2-4 hours.
• Do not apply in temperatures below 10 ̊C.

Aftercare & Storage

Protect from frost. Store and transport upright in a dry place.
