Overview
Leyland Trade Satinwood is self undercoating and provides a heardwearing finish that's resistant to knocks. For use on interior wood and metal. It's easy to apply and a great time saver because you don't need the undercoat. Depending on the surface you're painting and its porosity, you can get up to 20m2 coverage per litre. It's touch dry in 4-6 hours and re-coatable in 16-24 hours

Clean Up | Remove as much of the Leyland Trade Satinwood as possible from the brush or roller before cleaning. Clean your equipment straight away after use with White Spirit or Turpentine Substitute |
Preparation
It's important to ensure that the surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Remove all loose and defective paint. If you're painting new or bare surfaces, prime with the and make sure the primer is completely dry before you start painting. Rub down sound previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key for the paint. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding to avoid inhaling dust particles. Pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal may contain harmful lead, sp special precautions must be followed during surface preparation.
Application
Always perform a test on a small inconspicuous area to ensure compatibility, and we recommend following the manufacturer's instructions found on the tin.
- Stir well before use. Apply evenly by brush or roller, being careful not to overspread.
- Apply one or more coats as necessary and leave 16-24 hours drying time between coats under normal conditions.
- Do not apply over polystyrene surfaces.
