Preparation

Ensure the surfaces to paint with Johnstones Metal Paint are fully prepared to ensure you get the best results from your paint.

• Firstly, ensure the surface is clean, dry, and free from any contaminates that may affect adhesion.
• If necessary strip to a bare surface to ensure the best results.
• Rub down well with a fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly.

Application

Always test a small area to ensure you are happy with the finished results, colours may vary on screen.

• Do not apply this paint in confined spaces or over large areas when indoors.
• Stir well before use, apply using a brush.
• Do not thin this product it is supplied ready to use.
• Load the brush generously with paint and apply liberally and evenly, do not overspread.
• This paint will be touch dry and recoatable in 16-24 hours.
