Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, algae, fungi or moss.
- If the wooden panels have been previously stained, painted or varnished, we recommend you strip them back to the bare wood using sandpaper or a suitable wood stripper
- If your shed or fence is affected by algae, fungi or moss brush down with a stiff brush and clean with a garden cleaner
Application
Before using always test the product on a small area to ensure colour and adhesion. Colours can vary dependant on surface to be treated.
- Shake tin thoroughly before use
- Apply 2-3 uniform coats with a brush to achieve a even colour
- Apply the second coat after the first has soaked in
- The exact colour may be affected by any previous treatment and is darker on sawn, more absorbent, weathered and dark wood
- Protect plants during application
- Do not splash on plastic, plaster, paint or masonry. Do not spill on asphalt, bitumen, bitumen felt, tar or mastics. Bitumen, rubber and some plastic based materials may soften or swell in contact with the fluid or solvent vapour
Note: Always follow the manufacturer instructions found on the bottle.
Aftercare & Storage
To maintain your shed or fence reapply 1 coat each year to prolong the life of the wood. Regular cleaning with a dampened cloth can also prolong the life of your treated wood.
